What happened to Reaper on the CW?

Most of the TV shows I watch have already had their season premiere. However, I put an old tape (yes, I still have a VCR) in to record something last night and it had Reaper on it. I had forgotten about that show. Has it's new season started yet? Please don't tell me it was cancelled.

It has not been canceled. However, it has only been picked up for 13 episodes, as a mid season replacement. The expected plan is to pair it with Supernatural on Thursday nights after Smallville completes its run.

Now that Reaper is gone for good, its cast is finding new roles.

"Reaper" co-star Missy Peregrym landed the lead role on the Canadian cop drama "Copper," which will air on ABC.

Tyler Labine has landed the lead in Fox’s comedy pilot Sons of Tucson. The show centers on a thirtysomething man (Labine) hired by three boys to act as their father while their real one is in prison.

No word on Bret Harrison, except for the movie he's made in the hiatus.
