What happened to Member Getaways?

Why did Disney get rid of this? It seems like such a beautiful program. Maybe too many resale customers who were not eligible? Or just typical Bob Paycheck cost cutting? Maybe they can bring it back!

You're talking about the direct DVC trade outs to other non-Disney venues, right? In order to do that, DVC had to negotiate directly with those companies, I'm guessing the limited number of Members interested in non-Disney venues was pretty limited, and maybe not worth the time it takes to set them up, plus now we have the RCI options, and access to their daily trades and specials now. Making Member Getaways as we knew them, a bit redundant

That's a shame. Many of the hotels they used to partner with are quite special properties.
