What happened to Libertybelle?

I was reading another thread, and remember Libertybelle contributing to them, and I can not find her posts any more...? Did she unsubscribe?
Just wondering.

I hope not, she was a great source of information. I saw someone post that the "why castmembers hate DVC members" thread was passed to DVC management, I hope she didn't get into trouble (she didn't say anything bad but castmembers do have a confidentiality agreement).

Wow!!! Something DEFINITELY went down about those posts!! She is now no longer registered on this site, and any old posts which are left say "guest" and have the number of posts listed at n/a.

I would be VERY sad if something happened to her...she NEVER said anything negative. I would hate Disney CM's to think they cannot post here. I LOVE the information some of them have posted.

Libertybelle...you will be VERY missed!!!

I certainly hope Libertybelle did not get into any trouble. If anyone were to get into trouble, you would think it would be the OP of that thread (not saying he/she should). I will say that while I did not like what was said about DVC members, it made me remember what it is like to work with the public.

I sure hope she didn't get into trouble but Disney CMs have to be very careful about posting on the Internet. I knew of someone several years back who lost his job in Disney production for things he shared on a Compuserve board. He was a great guy and it wasn't anything negative or confidential but Disney didn't like him posting.

She is fine, not in trouble and just busy right now and decided to take a break.

As to CM's posting on the boards. Truely Disney does not care, but there are guidelines they are to follow. No company secrets are to be revealed and you can not pretend to represent the company in an official capacity. That is probably where some cross the line and I must say that some that post here contribute to that problem. This is all part of their contract as it would be with any major company.

Tyler (aka Chip and Dale Express) does an excellent job of keeping his fun here and his job seperated. He shares info, he does not try to solve problems, he does not comment or critize fellow CM's, and he does not represent the company in any official capacity.

So if you want them to stay around, be careful you don't ask them questions they can't answer.

I'm glad to hear that all's OK with her - her wonderful input here on the DIS has added a lot of 'magic' to my trips over the years - hope she's posting again soon !!

Again I am not a CM, just have some friends who are that share some of the inside take on what goes on.

Sorry about that Sammie, that is what I get for assuming. You normally post a lot of infomation that sounds like it would have come from a CM and I had not read that you previously stated you were not a CM.

Someone does not literally disappear from the BBS in the matter of a few days in this manner just to take a break. Either DIS took action or the she did for a REASON. Even for a life changing event, it's unlikely she would have contacted DIS and asked for her posts to be removed as well as her profile. The fact that no moderator or webmaster has posted that "nothing happened" further suggests to me this is true. And while I'd love to know why, it's certainly not my business.

I heard from her privately and this was her choice for personal reasons. She was not "forced" by anyone, it was her decision.

I have talked with LibertyBelle and it was her choice to leave the DIS. If you would like to post your thanks for her help along the way I am sure it would be appreciated. Someone will be able to give her the good wishes.
