What Happened in the Mall Bathroom....

I was at the mall this weekend and I am not kidding..........the person in the stall next to me was talking on the phone AND going to the bathroom at the same time. I only wonder if the person on the other end of the line knew what she was doing!!!

I do that, but only at home and when I am talking to my BFF ( who knows and does the same thing). I would never talk on the phone in a public bathroom.

Sorry, peeing while talking on the phone is disgusting, whether it's at home, the mall or in an outhouse.

My DD and DIL do this all the time. I have actually told them not to talk to me if they are usng the bathroom because it is just disgusting IMO. I have hung up on people and called them back if I had to answer nature's call. I think it's a technological era thing. When I was younger we didn't have cell phones and there were no phones installed in the bathrooms so we didn't talk to people if we were in there. I don't understand what is so important that you would feel that this is the rught thing to do.

I've done it occasionally and I really don't see the big deal....and if I'm on the phone in a public bathroom, I don't care if you keep flushing because I'm sure I already told the person I'm talking to where I'm at.

This is a pet peeve of mine. There is a communal bathroom on the floor of the building that I work in. There's only 3 women in our office but we are all totally amazed by how often (almost daily) there are people in the bathroom on their cell phones. And then have no qualms about flushing either!!!! Even if you are talking to someone who is okay with this you would think people would have enough class to not do that in a public bathroom.

My dh does it to me all the time. He'll call me from work, we'll be halfway through the conversation, then FLUSH!!! I've started hanging up on him.

Am I the only one who is too uncoordinated to talk on the phone in the bathroom? I can't pull my pants up with one hand, and I also can't seem to lodge the phone between my ear and shoulder. I'd end up dropping it in the toilet!

We have telephones in BOTH of our bathrooms...mounted on the wall...next to the toilet.

I applaud the "flush constantly" person - I always do that too! I don't want to hear your conversation in the restroom - most of the time, the half I hear is inane.

I don't get that - I've been at conferences and seminars where people go INTO the bathroom to use the phone. They're calling clients and office staffers.

I think it's rude towards the other users in the bathroom, too. There are people (not me) who have difficulty relieving themselves if there are other people in the bathroom.

It's just disgusting to listen to, esp. heavyset people who grunt and breath heavily as they try to juggle phone, skirt, and pantyhose. The acoustics are so bad, you can't understand the caller anyway.

If someone calls me from the restroom and I figure out where they are, I just "accidentally on purpose" hit END CALL. Ooopsies. Must have lost the signal in the loo, love. I do the same thing to people who call me from the subway or bus station just as the train/bus arrives. Yeah, I really don't want to listen to the metal wheels screeching and the kids shouting on the platform.

I think it's some sort of delusion if you think you're so important that you can't be off the phone for five minutes it takes to "go potty."

That happens at my work for time to time. When I hear that I flush every urinal and tolliet before I leave.
