The founding of Harvard or the Salem Witch Trials?

The Salem witch trials were around 1692... don't know about Harvard.

I'm a Stanford grad (turned down Harvard) - who cares.

This really isn't a quiz thread it is more about provoking thought.

Just think, Harvard the height of enlightenment was founded ~ 60 years before the Salem Witch Trials which are the complete absence of enlightenment

Well, it is a very provoking thought, but why would you think Harvard College (now university as well as college) was back in the 1630s, or is today, the height of enlightenment? ;)

Read the novel "Harvard Yard" by William Martin. He covers this topic.
