What happened at Epcot today?

Anyone know what was going on at Epcot today? When we went in this morning, the cast members had blocked off the area around spaceship earth. There was water pouring out from underneath the ball. We walked by hours later and there was still some water pouring out. I’m dying to know what happened. Was anyone brave enough to ask?
