What happend to the Points List ?

The point calculator is up, but at one time there was a list of how many points it would take to stay at so and so resort. This list was kind of a comparision to the other resorts.

We are looking at buying DVC and we love Port Orleans .

PO is NOT a DVC resort. So it will cost you more points wise than a studio (same type of room) at OKW.

If you intend to primarily stay at PO, buying into DVC may not be for you.

DVC point needs at all moderate resorts are:

for Standard rooms:
14 points per night Sun-Thurs/25 for Fri and Sat Value Season
15/27 for Regular Season
18/32 for Preferred Season
20/38 for Holiday Season

for Water View/pool view rooms:
16/29 Value
17/31 Regular
21/38 Preferred
22/40 Holiday

You could stay in a 1BR (with full kitchen, jacuzzi tub, King Bed, washer/dryer) at OKW in September, January and part of December for 16 points on weekdays and 40 points on weekends. A Studio would be 8/20 for the same period of time. Point needs for a 1BR at other DVC resorts may be slightly more, but the luxury of the 1BR villas vs a moderate resort is impressive for about the same number of points as a room at any of the moderate resorts.
