What groceries should I bring?

I will have a microwave and a refrigerator in my room. I am trying to have breakfast in the room for every day of the week. I don't want to bring any additional appliances. Trying to fit 4 maybe 5 adults, luggage, groceries and my wheelchair into the car will be difficult enough.

I am also going to try for at least two dinners in the room. What can I prepare to make sure that we have a sufficient variety for the whole week in Orlando?

Thanks for any help you can give.

i brought, pop tarts, nuts, lots of snacks we were going for 2 weeks, upon arrival i got other stuff like water, soda etc, bring what will fit and do your best

you can never go wrong with a couple loaves of bread and a couple of jars of peanut butter...that would give me breakfast and lunch for two weeks easy. Plus, it won't take up room in your refrigerator.

If you like oatmeal you can buy it in little individual cups, add water, then microwave. I eat these for breakfast at home. They are about $1 at Wal-Mart.

Last time we stopped at SuperTarget and stocked up on cereal, milk, bagels, bread, peanut butter & jelly, yogurt, granola bars, Pop Tarts, fresh fruit and water. We did not have a fridge or microwave. I kept the milk cold with ice.

You could buy frozen dinners and microwave them. We did this on a trip we took to PA. It was fun since we usually don't eat frozen dinners at home.

You can now buy frozen cinnamon rolls that are microwavable. Microwave 1 for 60 seconds & yum! How about frozen waffles, pancakes or french toast?

There is so much you can do with a fridge and microwave!

When we drove to Disney, We too had a very full car on the way down. BUT you forget that you are not tied to WDW property once you get to Orlando! Its easy to feel like you are on an island once you get there though.

We checked in and unloaded and then while DH and kids inspected the pool area :) I went up to the super walmart near-by.

I bought

Cereal
bagels
cream cheese
lunchmeat
chips
microwave popcorn
cookies
granola bars
juice boxes
sugar
tea bags

that way we could snack in the evenings and have breakfast every morning. I did buy 2 milks at the food court everymorning. Just so I wouldnt have to store a gallon of milk in my room fridge. I made a gallon of iced tea and we drank that every day. Much more hydrating than pop!Good luck!

I always make up a big batch of trail mix, we put it in the wheelchair backpack. It is a huge help on snack prices in the parks. I just throw in a mix of everyone's favorites (raisins, M&M's, small cookies, nuts, marshmallows... stuff like that) Also, water bottles, just keep refilling them at fountains.
Good luck!
