Have been to MK many times, but never to the opening in the morning. What exactly goes on ? Is it worth going to see? Is it very crowded ? TIA !

the last time i was in disney i made it to the MK before opening. it is really neat. brought tears to my eyes. the train comes around with a bunch of characters and they all wave. then get off and go to town square for meet and greets. the mayor is there also. very cool. one special family is chosen to throw pixie dust over the crowd.

Oh - I am so glad that you cried there too - I felt like such a dork!!!! DH :rotfl: didn't help!!

In MK the two days we went last year had two different openings. The first day was a train full of characters, and the second was opened by the Mayor and an family who blew pixie dust at us!

In Epcot there was a double decker bus full of characters to greet us.

Didn't see anything great at MGM or Animal Kingdom, just lots and lots of Brazilian tour groups. ;)

Wow -- I didn't see anything like that when we were just at MK. May have been that it was packed with people. But we did get in on the countdown. DS had fun with that.

Just a reminder. If you do get to the MK at rope drop, DO NOT to through the right tunnel! They have it loaded down with strollers and you cannot get through.
