What frightened you to this day, that you seen on TV or the

The Exorcist. I saw it when I was 13 because it was the "cool" thing to do. I was too young. I had nightmares for weeks.

I didn't see it until I was in college. A lot of the audience was LOLing at some of the scary scenes. I'm sure I would have freaked out if I had seen it when I was 14.

the original Planet of the Apes. Still freaks me out.

I saw the sequel first, Beneath the Planet of the Apes, when I was about 10. That was very disturbing.

Several scenes in Jaws made me jump and my heart skip a beat.

Carrie, when her hand pops out of the grave.

"Kingdom of the Spiders"

Old B&W movie. I watched it once while my parents were out. I thought it was going to be a documentary. I loved documentaries.

It was not a documentary.

The final scene pans out from where a few survivors are huddled in a boarded up cabin, and shows the entire town covered in web. Freaked me the HECK out.

Just wanted to say if you're referring to the1977 Kingdom of the Spiders with William Shatner it was definitely in color.

Excorist....I was just too young and still to this day angry at my parents who took me at 11 and my brother at 9 to see that movie. I was so scared for weeks to go to my bedroom at night time. It still creeps me to this day about that movie.

The Night of the Living Dead movie (the original black and white one from 1968). My brother was spooked by the Trilogy of Terror doll, and I got a lot of mileage scaring him at night by throwing things onto his bed in the dark! My daughter hates that Chuckie doll and I think that evil leprechaun too.

The Nazi-demon-werewolf home invasion nightmare sequence from "American Werewolf in London"......Kind of a tough scene for an 8 year old lol

Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island
There's a specific scene where the gang's voodoo dolls are being held to fire and their real faces start melting

Almost 20 years later and I still have a fear of melting to death

When I was in high school, a politician in our state (PA) was convicted of accepting bribes. The day before his sentencing, he called a press conference and shot himself on live TV. I had nightmares for a long time after seeing that...

Mighty Joe Young.
I was 5 or 6 when this movie came out and it was about a gorilla. Totally creeped me out. In addition to the creepy gorilla, there is a scene where a ferris wheel comes off track and starts rolling. I've never been on a Ferris wheel since.

Living in PA I love state history. I never heard of this! Did a quick google search and while I did not watch the video, I can agree that something like this would give me nightmares as well.

( I remember watching a live police chase a few years ago and the guy stopped his car and shot himself on live tv. The cameras quickly cut to the news anchor and the anchor's jaw dropped. He was speechless. They ended the car chases after that. )

I have another one..

The original IT.

I rented it from the library when I was 18 or so and watched it alone. Pennywise scared me so bad that I took my copy of the book and threw it out. Literally, I took it out to the garbage can outside. I'm not scared of clowns but Pennywise terrified me.

A few years ago it (IT) was on tv so I got up the nerve to watch it again. It's SOOOOOO cheesy lol

My husband and brother are still trying to convince me to go see the new one.

Michael Jackson's "Thriller" music video TERRIFIED me as a kid, I went running and crying to my mom... still gives me the creeps.

Don't usually get scared but..
That freaking gremlin on the wing on twilight zone episode.
There was was one point(don't want to spoil it) when I woke up my entire family when I screamed in the middle of the night.

The death of Neda, the Iranian woman protester. To this day I can still visualize her face as she dies. I wish I never saw that graphic footage. Thanks, CNN. :sad1:
