I hate to walk alone outside when it is dark out....I always get a paranoid feeling like I'm being watched or followed

I also really HATE spiders but have tried to curb my reaction so I don't freak my kids out!

If there is an occasion where I need to get from the basement up to the kitchen without the light on... Even if there is ambient kitchen light shining down, I always feel like I'm being closely pursued by someone/something horrible and it's about to make a swipe at me at any moment. I always end up flying up the steps, skipping a couple along the way!

ME TOO! I feel ridiculous, but I run from my car into my house. Also, I have almost every light on when I'm home alone...When I have kids I'm going to hate to admit that I'm afraid of the dark.

I'm wicked freaked out by clowns, Killer Clowns From Outer Space did that to me...darn girl scout camp for that one!!!

Swimming in the Ocean, especially when you are so far out that you can't even see the land. It's not so much that I'm afraid of what's in the water, it's more the feeling of the water itself. It's like you can feel all that incredible and vast profoundness squeezing you from every side. Plus you don't know how far down the water goes.

The dark...im okay if i'm at home and someone is in, but if im in a strange place, i like to have a light left on!

rats! Just thinking about them give me the heebie jeebies! At our old house, we always kept the back door open so the dogs could get in and out! I shut it when I went to bed. One night, I was sitting in front of the computer and out of the corner of my eye, I saw a shadow go behind a big heavy corner bookcase we have! I woke up DH at 1am. He set up a trap and I was SO FREAKED OUT!!! I would not go back in there. The next day, there was a big ol' rat in the trap!!! DH tried to get me to look at it but NO WAY!!!! I locked myself in the bedroom until he got rid of it!

For a while after, I was worried that the rat chewed a hole into the wall (warning: do NOT google certain things because it will drive you insane) and had babies IN MY WALLS!!! Luckily, it didn't!

You better believe I never left that backdoor open again! I think it came over to our yard from our neighbor. They had ivy growing all over their back wall and also had palm trees in their yard, rats love both!

Worms and snakes freak me out. It's totally freaky to walk on a sidewalk after it rains. Worms are everywhere.

Oh dear...where to start. I get totally freaked out by: Spiders, roaches, snakes, things that have more arms and legs than I do, clowns (thank you, It), the dark, the fear that someone will break into our house in the middle of the night so I obsessively make sure the doors are locked, and if I get up in the middle of the night for something I jump back into the bed so nothing underneath can grab me. Also, for months after I saw Urban Legend, I would step WAY out when I got out of the car or got into it, so no madmen hiding under it could sever my Achilles Tendon (this would be why I no longer watch most scary movies).

I am a wimp.

If I get in my car and realize I forgot to check the back for killers with knives, I will pull over and get out and look. I know.... weird, but I've seen too many movies where someone hid in the back. And it actually happened a couple miles from my house about 2 years ago... anyway, I get freaked out by the idea of someone hiding in my car.

Oh, and I really hate when people touch the top of my head.

Me too, especially walking to/from my car. I avoid it if at all possible.

Snakes.

Like someone else said, the fear of someone breaking in or being murdered. Last night, I had just let my puppy out and she started barking viciously so I let her in then ran to look out the front window and there was a guy walking not 2 feet from it completely dressed in black. Black jeans, black jacket and a black beanie almost covering his eyes. He was walking from the direction of my car/the front door. DBF said he was probably looking into my car to see if there was anything worth taking. Fortunately, I didn't have my stereo in last night.
