What Forms of Payments when on Excursions?

now that all my Disney resorts, cruise, tickets bought etc...are paid in full. I just want to set aside all my
Spending monies. I've done Disney gift cards for on board the ship, and for my Disney vacation. But what types of payments do you all use for things you might buy on excursions? I was going to bring cash for things like that, is smaller bills better?

Depends where you're going and what you are planning to buy. If it is just trinkets and small value things, yes, small denomination cash is better.

Yes, for the most part. But I'm also looking for gold, and maybe I'll just wait and shop for gold here in NH! I wanted some gold bracelets, but that may be impossible after reading about the Cozumel jewelry Fraud! Thanks, I'll stay cheap....

Some places will take credit cards and a lot will accept USD.

I have no desire to buy jewelry out of the country. I want to know what I'm getting is 100% real.

Are you going to Atlantis when in Nassau? Many of the places there are cashless; you have to use a card.

ETA: In general, I would bring some cash but also a card. If cash gets lost or stolen, it's gone, but a credit card you can report stolen/cancel. Definitely bring some small bills if you plan on getting room service.

If you want to buy jewellery, you're best to use credit card, especially if you have one that has some kind of insurance. And any jewellery place that doesn't take credit card is probably a bit dodgy because they probably don't want any kind of traceable record. Having said that, there are some places I would prefer not to use credit cards because of the high incidence of fraud (not when buying jewellery).
