What flowers attract hummingbirds??

I already started a thread about what attracts butterflies, but I think I meant Hummingbirds...lol..
Will they basicly be the same flowers??
My area only gets the morning sun...
What are my options??

Shep I may also be able to help here too.

One of the things you want to do is add a hummingbird feeder. This will keep the birds in your area. They will need a continuous supply of food from spring to fall.

Hummingbirds are attracted to dark colored flowers, with red being their favorite. With this in mind try to choose lots of red flowers.

Flowers they like Geranium, Cardinal Flower, Fushsia, Impatien, Coral Bells, Salvia, Morning Glories, Daylilies, Hollyhocks and Nicotania.

They also are attracted to many shrubs and vines The Orange Trumpet Vine is one of their favorite. Some others are Azalea, Rhododendron, Quince, Honeysuckle and Weigela.

Looking for lots of garden action next season, Shep?

With hummingbirds being very territorial, you might want to try 2 - 3 feeders (if you have someplace to hang them), making sure that they are out of sight from each other.
