What experiences are you excited for?

We are doing a super short trip, but I'm excited for:
MVMCP on my birthday :flower1:
Osborne Lights Dessert Party the next day :bored:

In some ways, just the shorter trip too! I know we will see and do less, but it is also less stressful trying to plan (and less $$). Plus, we didn't think we would be able to go this year :)

We just got back and had many magical moments - here seems like a good (positive) place to share :-)

We were the first family for the safari one day - had an amazing safari guide (Aileen) for our private safari!

We were selected to sit in the front row for FotLK - DH got to demonstrate the elephant sound! We could feel the swishing of the stilt walkers costumes against our legs we were that close!

We got to sit in the front row 'reserved' spot for FOW!

DD got to play the beast in ETwB which is a part she's never played.

Merida and Ariel both remembered DD - Merida from previous trips - Ariel from earlier in the week -yes we met her twice. Always magical when a princess remembers you!

met lots of great CMs and saw some 'old' favorites - kept a list each day and remembered to e-mail them in or compliment on the way out of the park :-)

Great trip - can't wait to go back in January!

I have a list about as big as yours to be excited for but I will try to keep it simple XD

1) This is my family's first trip and my first actual Disney vacation!! (I've been twice before but only for quick day trips, this time we're staying a week!)
2) I finally get to experience Epcot! Never been before :o
3) Lunch in Cinderella's castle with my little sister (my splurge surprise for her)
4) Riding my favorites (Tower of Terror, Big Thunder, Haunted Mansion) while riding a lot for the first time! (Test Track, Soarin, Toy Story etc.)
5) The new restaurants! Everything aside from Ohana breakfast will be a first time experience. We have Whispering Canyon, Garden Grill, Royal Table, and Ohana.
6) Staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge! Something I never thought would happen and beyond excited that this will be my first on-site experience stay pluto:

Been going for over 30 years, twice a year lately and am still excited to just go every time I go. I'm going 9/28 - 10/3, solo (3rd solo trip) for F&W. I'm excited about food and wine, wine and food, wine and wine. I'm going to a culinary seminar and a wine seminar both for 3 out of the the 6 days there (might pick up a couple more while I'm there, who knows) did a few last year and loved them. I'm going to a Med. Dinner with food & wine pairing at Spice Roads, looking forward to that. I plan on doing things I either haven't done in a long time or have never done - FOW at AK, the movie at France, watching a parade from beginning to end at MK. I have tea at the GF every trip and am excited about playing grown up. Thinking about taking a DVC tour of Poly, got an invite just not sure if I want the pressure sell but it would be nice to see the 2 bedroom.

There are seriously too many to list, however I'll list a few experiences that that bring back strong memories for me:

1. "Please stand clear of the doors..."
2. Getting in line at Splash Mountain at one minute before close on an EMH Saturday night, then taking the long, slow stroll out of the park when it's empty
3. This one is new, but: Braised pork @ Be Our Guest
4. the smell of Rome burning
5. Butterfinger cupcakes
6. School Bread
7. Seriously, butterfinger cupcakes and school bread
8. Everything about Mickey's Philharmagic

Was just there in July and am planning to go back in May..

Love this thread! It's making me even more excited for our Christmas trip! We are looking forward to:

2. Trying out a new resort-POP Century! Can't wait to see the big icons, memorabilia boxes, and try the Elvis cupcake!

6. DHS-Osborne Lights on Christmas Eve!
7. FD for the first time!
8. Seeing my nephew's reaction to everything. The last time he was there was when he was two. Now at five, he has no idea how much fun he's going to have!
9. Disney Magic all around us!
10. Crying during Wishes surrounded by those that I love the most in our laughing place!

We leave in the morning and I am excited for EVERYTHING!!!!! I honestly don't care if we ride the carousel round and round and round for 7 days. I just want to relax with my kids and watch them have fun.

To pick things that would make me happy without the kids there:
Anything in WS
Anything in AK
7DMT
Garden Grill
the "monorail" in the airport
Everything I will eat and drink

To agree with Skicks35, the smell of Rome burning!
Staying at the Poly for the first time in May.
Being in WDW for my birthday for the first time ever!
The music as it changes throughout the parks.
Cast member interactions- they can make the day!

So many things, but today my list is:

Staying at the Poly for the first time
MVMCP
Osborne lights
Disney music
Street performers
New queues and refurbished attractions
1900 park fare

Oh my I'm so excited to be going....

#2 Park hopping. Never done before
#3 Food and Wine, never done before!
#4 POFR, new resort for us
#5 Dinner at Le Cellier!
#6 Riding the thrill rides together, having young children we've had to take turns or sit one out with the youngest.
#7 Traders sams! La cava! And other places we wouldn't go with the kids :)
#8 Freedom and flexibility! Scheduling down to a minimum, park hoppers we can go where we want when we want, exciting to me!!

I'm taking my daughter, who will have just turned 3, on her first trip. I've been planning it since before she was born. All her grandparents (5 of them) are coming, too. What I'm most excited for is to finally get to see what everyone's talking about when they say WDW is for "kids".

Also, the MVMCP fireworks. The last time I did the party was in 2002 and I remember them being spectacular back then.

I want to do thing I've never done, or haven't done in years this trip. So a few of them are on there, with a few just classic things I love. So, I'm excited for:
  • Riding the carousel (especially at night)
  • Living with the Land
  • Parasailing (and a little scared!)
  • Hoop Dee Doo (did it once before, excited to do it again!)
  • Food & Wine (my fav time of year/event)
  • California Grill (never ate there!)
  • Donaaaaaald!

I am excited for....
  • HDDR! I haven't been there since 1993 and it's my DD's first time ever. :woohoo:
  • Osbourne Lights. My first (and last! :() time!
  • Staying on-site at Universal and seeing the HP lands! :wizard:

We're going 12/14-18. I'm looking forward to some old favorites:

Haunted Mansion, Expedition Everest, Dole Whip Floats, Fireworks & World Showcase.

And this year we have lots of really good "firsts":

Staying at the CR in a TPV room (can't wait to watch the fireworks from the balcony), MVMCP, seeing the parks & resorts decorated for Christmas, HD Dessert Party, Osborne Light for the first (and last) time, SDMT, TSM and eating at BOG. So far I have a breakfast, but I'm hoping to get a dinner, also. I also have an Ohana breakfast reserved, but not sure we'll do that.

If I get brave (or stupid) enough I might even ride ToT! :scared: Who knows. One day I am looking forward to it, then next I say "NO WAY!"

I'm lucky because in 2016 I'm getting 3 Disney trips- one aboard the Disney Magic for my wedding, a family reunion at WDW following the wedding, and a honeymoon at Disneyland! I'm so excited for... everything! But my biggest excitements come from my Disneyland trip because I haven't been in about 8 years- to ride Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and Snow White's Scary Adventures and their version of ToT and to stay at the Grand Californian and as far as WDW to see my cousins' and aunts' and uncle's faces when we walk into MK (first time in a long time for most!) and to ride Space Mountain with my maid of honor and my cousin and my soon to be husband! And I'm excited to have lunch at BOG with my family and see Wishes and Fantastic and ride WDW's ToT and ride It's A Small World (Yes, even that) as far as the cruise I'm obviously most excited to get married on Castaway Cay but I'm also excited to eat at Palo and Animator's Palate and have a lot of my family in one place for the first time in years! I'm just... so excited for every magical moment!

Going back home to the Little Easy (POFQ) next April - I am excited for:
New scenes on Star Tours!
Tracking down the elusive Gourmet Grilled Cheese at Taste Track
Hopefully getting a Wishes FP and FINALLY seeing "Celebrate the Magic"
And hopefully getting to eat at the new Skipper Canteen.
Feasting on my favorites, Lamb Shawarma and Quattro Formaggi Pizza, at Epcot
2nd trip to F&G! I love seeing the topiaries. Looking forward to what the food booths are offering.
Visiting AoA for the first time, and scoping out Pop as a future option.
Trying Harambe Marketplace for lunch. (Yes, I like food.)

OTOH - not to be a downer, but - one of my big excitements for next year was going to be catching a whole performance by Mulch, Sweat & Shears. I caught them for the first time this year, just in time for their last number, and was really looking forward to hearing more. Oh, well...

And can I just say that I am SUPER excited about Toy Story Land (even if it's still a ways off).

We are excited to be at WDW for this first time during Xmas.

Really looking forward to going the Candlelight Processional (with Edward James Olmos)!
