What exactly is a pin code?

I hear people talking about pin codes for discounts. How do you obtain these pin codes?

Feeling like the old owl in the Tootsie Pop commercials of years gone by ... the world may never know ... I have just used a PIN I received in the mail for our upcoming trip, but they come via email or snail mail and are pretty random. Some folks have traveled for years and years to WDW and never once rec'vd a PIN of any kind, while others get them every season. No rhyme nor reason - we just enjoy it when it comes and pray we can book!

To boost your chances at getting a code, make sure you have registered on the disney web site. When registering there is an option to check if you are interested in getting offers from disney. Make sure you check that box. Also, request the vacation dvd from the site. No one really knows why some people get the codes, but these things may help a little bit.
