We booked a "future cruise" on our cruise in February. We are anticipating booking something for summer of 2017 but I was unaware of any blackout dates? Does that mean that some itineraries are unavailable when you prebook? Thanks!!

It means DCL has selected cruises (that typically sell well) that it's not necessary to "price to sell" them. So they don't offer the perks on those cruises.
Just to add... the list linked above is only through April 2017, but I expect there will be at least a few black-out dates for summer 2017 itineraries. We should hopefully know tomorrow.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe even on the blackout dates you do still get the onboard credit from DCL, you just don't get the 10% off (at least that's what the rebooking person told me onboard in January).

Thanks for asking this question. I wasnt clear on it either and the term Black out has been thrown around a LOT today with the release of the new schedules.
