What exactly does Pending Mean?

My DD just got denied today and she felt really sad. After her phone interview the woman she spoke too said she did great and my DD felt she had a good chance. That was back in February. She was pending and just found out today that she was denied. She thinks it is because she is an athlete and felt she should tell them she would have to get out of her NCAA contract in order to do the program. Does anyone think that this is the reason she was denied? She is very upset and was really looking forward to working at DW.

Doesn't everyone have to be "pending" at one time or another? Either right after you're interview or down the line...I'm sure they can't make a decision right away, KWIM? I have never used this online system you're talking about...I just had to wait for my purple folder...Glad they are going green though
