What else to do for a 1 day break?

We are using my in-laws time-share which if we used the entire week we'd have 1 extra day than our 5-day park hopper tickets. We are staying at the Peacock Inn & Suites and will have a 3 1/2 year old and a 4 month old. Is there anything to do within walking distance (or on the ART) besides DL? We won't have a car. Trying to decide whether to do the full Sat-Sat (with both Saturdays being travel days) or just fly down on Sunday.

ETA: correction on dates as Sat-Sat not Fri-Fri

I'd definitely do the extra day. I. Don't know about your hotel location but any transport that takes you to DL also takes you to Downtown Disney. You could spend a good half day just exploring around there, and the many shops are kid focused so maybe the 3 1/2 year won't get bored as easily. There's Build A Bear, a build your own race car shop, Lego shop, Disney store, etc. (You could easily spend more than while in the parks so plan the budget ahead if that's important.) We had a good time just window shopping! If the 3 1/2 year old is a girl I believe the Anna & Elsa Frozen make over boutique is for ages 3-12 if that's on your radar.

Also, you may want a break from park days. You don't have to use the days consecutively, we had 15 days after the first day of use to use all our days. Check your specific ticket rules on this though! When we did that many days the crew was really dragging by the fourth day, so we did a relax day and strolled through downtown disney exploring the various offerings. We were much more psyched for our last park day after taking that break!

Correction, the timeshare is Saturday-Saturday.
We aren't exactly walking distance, we are at the Peacock Inn so likely using the ART or walking everywhere. The thing is that our "off" day would likely NOT be in the middle of going to Disneyland because we would want to skip the busier day of either Sunday or Friday, so the "off" day would be either our first or last full day (not counting travel). Which is kind of a bummer. And I don't want to just be in the hotel room with the kids all day. And we are not able to go to DL next year so an annual pass isn't an option to get the 6th day in the parks (cost prohibitive).

We are pretty well versed in Disneyland but did NOT know about the Frozen Boutique. We were on the fence about doing BBB for her. Will have to check out this option!

It might be worth renting a car for the last day, since you could then use it to get to the airport.

We are scheduling extra non-park days this time (mainly because it is Christmas time and so much to see) but you can easily spend a day at DTD and the resort hotels. We love Trader Sam's at the DLH we have kids and they enjoying going in also. We are also going to go out to Garden walk this time and I saw they have bowling. Also there are the movie theaters and ESPN zone. A lot of tours will come to the hotels with buses for hollywood, Knotts berry farm, Universal studios, Medieval times. No need to rent a car.

We are doing a 1 day non park day. Saturday will be our longest day at the park so Sunday we will just be hanging around our hotel/swimming, going to downtown disney etc. I think it's a good idea with little ones. We will have a 3 year old with us.

How about combining a character meal at one of the hotels (Goofy's, Surf's up, or Storytellers) with a downtown disney day.

Or you could rent a car for one day and check out a beach.

You could take the ART bus and go to Knott's Berry Farm. Even if you do not want to go to the amusement park, Knott's main restaurant in front of the amusement park is fantastic. https://www.knotts.com/

Take ART to DTD and rent a car. That way you've got some freedom. I'd go to the beach either Seal or Huntington. :thumbsup2 There is an Alamo rental car place in DTD.

Great ideas. Does the ART Drop off at DTD? Or just the main DL Transportation center out on S Harbor (asking bc we were thinking of doing Surf's up or Goofy's kitchen the morning of our departure, but didn't want to walk that far)

ART will drop you outside the parks, walk through the esplanade, and walk through DTD. It's on the end near Earl of Sandwich, very close to the Disneyland Hotel. You could eat at Goofy's first and then grab your car for the day.
