What ECV rental places can leave scooter at resort...

and not require you to be there when they deliver it?

Our first trip, we rented from Buena Vista and picked it up at bell services at the Coronado.
Since then we have rented from Gold Mobility and stayed at Disney Springs hotels. We did not have to be there when they delivered, but he mentioned that you must be there at an on property hotel now for delivery from Gold.
So now I'm wondering what hotels can have the ECV waiting for you and which ones you have to be there for. Will on property resorts still let Buena Vista leave them before we arrive? We are staying at Pop Century our first week and The B for our second week.

Post #2 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread lists some vendors. The "Featured Vendors" can leave equipment with Bell/Luggage Services at WDW resorts. Non-featured vendors will meet you in person.

I actually find "Featured Vendor" to be a disadvantage. Last time I rented from Buena Vista, a Featured Vendor, Bell Services accidentally gave my key to someone else (yes, keys are interchangeable on many scooters) and I had to wait about 1/2 hour for them to find a key that "would work". The other instance I heard about, but didn't experience, scared me also-the vendor came to retrieve the scooter and couldn't find it so they wanted to continue charging the guest. Although both instances were the fault of Bell Services, NOT the "Featured Vendor", it made me want to do the "hand-off" directly with the scooter company. Also, that way I can ask any questions if I need to. However, for some, I can understand preferring a featured vendor, and Buena Vista Scooters is one.

Disney has a list of preferred vendors, but please take the time to compare prices. Only preferred vendors are able to drop scooters off. (I actually prefer seeing the scooter, before agreeing that it's what I want and paid for, no torn seat, etc). Yes, I've gotten some pretty ragged scooters in the last seven years. I decided to go with Gold Mobility. Yes, not only did they meet me at the resort. They actually waited a half hour past drop off agreed time. Arrived on Magical Express. (Scheduled drop off at 12:30, arrived at 1). Customer service was great. They explained adjusting back of scooter, and the ability to push seat forward sideways (convenient for sitting at tables).

Also their price was $150 cheaper than other rental scooters.

Thanks, everyone. You've made some good points. We will continue to rent from Gold. Are they still the least expensive? My Mom needs a scooter for two weeks. We could bring hers from home, but like the fact that if something happens and it breaks down or something, the vendor will come to the rescue.
This actually happened to us once. We were at MK and the scooter wouldn't run after we got off a regular Minnie van. The driver had taken the battery off and it wouldn't work when he put it back on. We got a regular Minnie Van because the wait for an accessible one was over an hour! so much for saving time.

Here now. They are running a special. I got a scooter with the captain's chair and free canopy (extra large - great for Sun and rain. Rented for 13 days. 7 day rental was $179 plus tax and they offered me a,GREAT rate (definitely worth looking into, Trust Me!!!!). The scooter I have works well with the Disney transportation. HOwevrr , this particular scooter does not fold for car transport.
If person you are looking at scooter for, likes "adjustments" to ease pain, I simply cannot recommend enough! Price was even cheaper at delivery than quoted.

I've had no trouble at all with scooter.
