What eastern excursions are fun for kids?

Going on the 7-Day eastern on April 30th. First time cruise.
Does anyone have any sugestions for excursions on St.Maarten or St. Thomas with girls 6 and 8. I've read some post about fun excursions but does'nt say much about if these are something kids would enjoy as well. Some of the Catamaran trips look fun, but not sure if kids would have fun or be scared. Both girls are pretty brave.

I'd recommend the Butterfly Farm on St. Maarten. We just loved it (adult party) and noticed that the kids were having a wonderful time. The Disney excursion combines this with a stop in Marigot and if you think your kids would enjoy visiting a new town, it might make a good choice for youl.

We did the Doubloon Sail & Snorkel in St Thomas with our DS5. All of the kids (and adults) had a blast. My son jumped in the water and decided he didn't want to snorkel. We put him back on the board with a few other kids that didn't want to snorkel. The captain entertained them - giving them food to feed the fish. Everyone got a tattoo. I'll do it again the next time we cruise the Eastern.

We are on the same cruise with our 6yo dd, and we are doing the catamaran snorkel cruise on St. Maarten and the St John/Trunk Bay trip in St Thomas - my dd is very excited about this and has been practicing with her snorkel set in the tub

I have two suggestions for St. Thomas. 1) Take a cab to Sapphire Bay where you can swim, snorkel, eat, watch iguanas and (what we call) ghost crabs. There are floats and water toys available for rent. 2) Take a cab to Coral World. Their timing is such that you can move from exhibit to exhibit where various sea creatures are fed. Lots of large iguanas around, small touch tank. Next to Coki Beach. Coral World has changing room and showers available.
