Good Morning!

I know that the BWV and BCV are withing walking distance to Epcot and MGM, but are any of the other DVC resorts within walking distance to any of the parks? Thanks so much!

Walking distance to Epcot or a boat ride to Epcot and MGB would be BCV and BWV. Boat ride to the MK would be VWL. OKW and SSR would be a bus trip to any of the parks...The way my family does it is we walk to Epcot and get on the Monorail to MK...need park hopper passes for this.

VWL is a boat ride to MK, not walking though. SSR is a walk away from DTD.

You can walk to DTD from OKW but its a bit longer treck.

I like to walk and have walked from BWV to Epcot, BWV to MGM, BCV to MGM, BCV to Epcot, OKW to DTD, SSR to DTD. The only truly EASY walk among those is BCV to Epcot's International Gateway. The next easiest probably would be BWV to Epcot or, depending on where you are staying, SSR to DTD Marketplace. BWV to MGM is a solid walk (my pedometer said 1/2 mile from the edge of BWV to the edge of the bus area at MGM), and most mobile people can pull it off, but it is not by any means a "short" walk. BCV to MGM would be a pretty solid hike for most people. The better part of a mile from BCV. OKW to DTD is really only a walk for serious walkers, though I found it relaxing and interesting.

Doctor P, have you kept track of a full days walking in the parks with your pedometer? I am curious about total mileage on an average day.

I agree with BCV and BWV being the walking DVCs. Although a mad dash from OKW, accross a busy highway and through the pinetrees, would get you to EPCOT (if you did not get caught or killed).

Depending on the park and the day, my pedometer indicated anywhere from 6 miles (low day) to 14 miles for a day in the parks. Typically, I was walking 10-12 miles each day on days that we went to the parks.
