What drinks are available at Flo's?

I'm looking for the closest place to to quickly fill a mug.

We will be forward on the ship and it looks like Flo's is the most convenient place to get to from our staterooms. What is the beverage service like there?

I did cruise Disney Fantasy before, but that time my stateroom was aft and we were close to Cabanas and never ventured forward for lunch so I've never been to Flo's.

If you want to refill your own mug, you'd do that at the drink stations by the pool. I don't think the food stations have drinks, at least not ones that you would fill your own cup up with. Drinks stations are very close to the fast food stations.

^^ this is correct. You need to go to the drink stations. Flo's is just food.

And use a disposable cup to refill yours. For hygiene's sake!
I wish they had larger cups because i'm sure for some people that by the time they get back to their stateroom, they need a refill. On previous cruises, I've used the resort refillable mug which is nice to have because it has the handle(so glad they brought that back)and fits in the fridge. I'm only staying a few days at WDW before the cruise so buying the refillable mug doesn't make a lot of sense.

I'll mostly likely be taking this...

but it doesn't have a handle and will not fit in the fridge but that's why they invented ice. It's probably going to take a few disposable cups to fill it though but like you said...it's for hygenie's sake.:flower:

I always take a giant sized Tervis WITH a handle in my checked luggage so that I can have plenty of iced tea or coffee or whatever. :coffee: But I just invested in a giant sized Yeti and as always, I order the handle. Especially for the really large Tervis and/or Yeti's I find it hard to hold them and a handle makes it OH so easy! :goodvibes And you can bet I will be using a clean paper cup to refill my big ol' Yeti!

A Yeti mug! Is it bear/shark proof? :lmao:How big is this thing and how many refills does it take to fill with those small 5oz cups?

:rotfl2: Well, actually it IS supposed to survive those kind of incidents! But I love them because they can keep your drink super cold and keep ice like you can NOT believe! Even in hotter than Hades Florida! They are pricey, but should last about forever! I ordered the handle additionally because it is just so much nicer, IMHO. :goodvibes Here's a link for the 30 oz. size I got:

We have Yeti's, RTIC, and Ozark Trail ones and they are all amazing. They keep the ice for forever. They are perfect for the cruise as you can get a nice big mug of something to drink and it stays cold for a long time.

Yup! :thumbsup2 Like Meliscan said, they are pretty amazing, performance wise! I love my Tervis mugs, but Yeti has 'em beat for sure!

I do love to buy a DCL Tervis onboard IF they have a really cute one! I have been known to take 2 sizes of Tervis handles so i would be ready to rock and roll if I bought a Tervis I could not resist! :goodvibes

You should see their ice chests!!!!! I have one on my Santa list. Because it is so hot so many months here, if I make a run to Sam's or BJ's or Costco, which is a ways away, I usually have an ice chest in my car trunk. But with a Yeti, I wouldn't have to worry about the safe temperature of my cold and frozen stuff! That's my reason, and I'm stickin' to it! :rotfl:

Yeah..my Disney Parks Starbucks tumbler has zero insulation so you and Meliscan have really sold me on this mug. :yay: The Yeti website doesn't have the color I want and neither does Amazon, but they do have Seafoam which is close to blue and definitely appropriate for a Disney Cruise. Thanks for the info and recommendation. Decided to order it from Amazon and I have Prime so I'll get it by the weekend.

I have seen the chests and I believe they market them as being bear-resistant so that's where my bear/shark joke came from. :happytv:
I'm sure it will do the job for all those shopping runs.

May I ask a (probably) dumb question? When refilling my personal mug, do I need to get a new paper cup for each pour or can I use the same cup a few times to fill my mug? If I'm filling a 30oz yeti, do I need to get 6 of the 5oz paper cups? I didn't use my Tervis last trip because I was thinking you had to grab a new cup for each pour, and I couldn't justify wasting that many cups. But now I'm scratching my head thinking maybe I'm an idiot. o_O

As long as you aren't handling the paper cup by the lip or drinking from it between pours, 1 should be good.

They aren't actually 5 ozs. I think @DIS_MIKE was just kidding or estimating when he said that. Their cups are probably like 12 ounces. Small compared to the big ones people bring, but it won't take six fillings. And I agree with @DynamicDisneyDuo that one of the DCL cups should do it as long as you don't drink from it while filling yours.

Yeah...I was just being facetious :joker:. I agree that the cups are roughly 12 ounces but once you add ice it's probably more like 5 or 6oz.
