What does your username mean?

[Buzz Durkin]

Back around 1985 or so (when I was 13), I watched a LOT of tv (unlike today, where I watch a lot of TIVO stuff, not the same thing in my mind )

Anyway, late on night I saw an ad for "Buzz Durkin's School of Karate" somewhere in the local area (in NH I think)

I though this was the coolest name ever, and it always stuck in my mind. Over the years I used it when kidding around with people (telling them to refer to me as Buzz Durkin).

Anyway, that's the origin.

Recently I looked up Buzz Durkin on Google. The karate school is still in operation, believe it or not (try it yourself!)

Mouse Club Mom - well I worked on the Mickey Mouse Club about 14 years ago and now work again for 2 of the Mouseketeers from the show. They jokingly call me their "mother hen" plus I have 2 adorable little girls of my own so I am definitely a MOM!

Kim is my first name, Wim is the first 3 letters of my last name (married version) and 8 is my lucky number = kimwim8. I regret that I didn't think up a cute Disney-themed name when I started!

Mine is the initial in our family.... Pamela, Jeff, Laura and Lucas A. Pretty simple! Would have been JPLLA, but when we tried to use that as an email address it wasn't available, so we changed it to PJLLA instead.... been that way for years! Had I known how involved I would be getting here on the DIS, I would have picked a better name! oh well...................P
