What does your toothfairy pay?

We give 3 for the first tooth and problem teeth ( if they give them a hard time coming out and torture them for days) and 2 for every other tooth.

The tooth fairy that visits my house leaves $5 for the first tooth, and $1 per tooth after that. *IF* she doesn't forget, which she has done many times :)

Lately the kid (age 11) just says "Mom, pay up so the tooth fairy won't forget"

The TF left $5 for the fist tooth and then $2 for each tooth after that but We kept forgetting to make the exchange and then tired of making up stories and lying to our children we told them the truth about TF and Santa and the Easter Bunny.

Now they loose a tooth and we just hand them the money so we don't forget.

Our tooth fairy left $5 for the first tooth and $2 for each tooth after, except for molars. They get $5 each.

On night, there was no money in the house that night, so I told DS that if he left his tooth out on the weekend he would get double. :rotfl:

It worked...:rotfl:

That is better then what my parents did when I was a kid and were out of money. They left me an empty pop bottle under my pillow lol! Yeah that is when I stopped believing.

The tooth fairy, leaves lots of little goodies, some flavored chapstick, stickers,
tooth brush, rubber stamps, she also leaves money usually a dollar folded up in her own special tooth fairy way. The last time she brought 4 quarters instead. You never know what she will bring at least at our house! LOL

$20 for the first tooth (and will be for the last too). $1 per tooth after that. We've only got four more teeth to go~!

The tooth fairy has adjusted for inflation at our house - she started with $2, then went to $3, now for molars, she shells out $5! ;)

The same happened to us! after that one the tooth fairy learn to go get a $5 dollar bill at the first sign of a loose tooth and put aside ;)

our tooth fairy must be very stingy, $5 for the first and then 2 quarters for each of the rest.....

 The toothfairy leaves one shiny Sacagawea dollar coin per tooth at our house. DD's girlfriend's mom gives makeup - not fair!!

Thanks for all the great responses. We decided on $10 for the first tooth and $2 for each additional. My husband wanted to leave a quarter!

I had to smile at this question. My niece, who is now 22, would have told you it depends on what state you lost the tooth in. The Oklahoma tooth fairy only paid $1 (just parents), the New York tooth fairy paid $7 (parents ($1), grandparents ($5), and great-aunt ($1)), but the MA tooth fairy pays $16 plus a present (parents, grandparents, Aunties ($10 + present). So when my nephew's first tooth was loose, she told him not to wiggle it until he got to MA because that tooth fairy paid a lot more than the Oklahoma one.

$1.00 per tooth plus some sort of small entertaining toy (< $5.00). they usually love the toy as much as the money.

LOL....whatever change the toothfairy has in her pocket at the time.....or can scrounge up from the couch cushions! :lmao:

Our tooth fairy is cheap, too. Every tooth, no matter what: $1 gold dollar.

My son hoarded them until he wanted to buy something. He didn't want to give his coins to the bank, so I offered to buy them from him. He got 8 dollars in bills, and I was able to replenish my gold dollar stash!! Bonus!

It depends on if the Tooth Fairy makes it to the house on the first night that the tooth comes out. Sometimes he gets so busy and backed up that he doesn't make it to Ohio on that first night. Sometimes not on the 2nd night. And did you know that for each night he doesn't make it, the $ goes up?

It got all the way up to $20 one time. We just assumed he got lost often because our home is sort of hard to find.

:)

(We kept forgetting! Adding on the cash was the only way to quiet the wailing and gnashing of teeth that ensued in the morning.)

I absolutely LOVE this! :thumbsup2 I bet your kids hope the tooth fairy does not make it on night one!:rotfl:

Our tooth fairy leaves $5, a new book and a card (sprinkled with fairy dust) telling them what a good job they are doing and telling them to keep up the good work. They LOVE the cards.

And this thread reminded me the tooth fairy needs to get stocked up - I bet she will be visiting SOON! :tink:
