My name is Katholyn and I have no idea what it means

Maybe it means your parents couldn't choose between the names Katherine and Carolyn...and I say that because we narrowed DD2's name down to those two and had the hardest time choosing between them. :)

I am Laurie - Little victorious one

Feminine form of the Late Latin name Laurus, which meant "laurel". In ancient Rome the leaves of laurel trees were used to create victors' garlands.

DIANE
Usage: French, English
French form of DIANA

Behind the Name

DIANA
Probably derived from an old Indo-European root meaning "heavenly, divine", related to dyeus (see ZEUS). Diana was a Roman goddess of the moon, hunting, forests, and childbirth, often identified with the Greek goddess Artemis.

Behind the Name

REBECCA
From the Hebrew name Ribqah, possibly meaning "a snare" in Hebrew, or perhaps derived from an Aramaic name. This was the name of the wife of Isaac and the mother of Esau and Jacob in the Old Testament.

Behind the Name

Julie means soft-haired and youthful which fits me perfectly. People always think I'm younger than I am and I'm always getting compliments on my hair.

LAURA
Feminine form of the Late Latin name Laurus, which meant "laurel". In ancient Rome the leaves of laurel trees were used to create victors' garlands. Saint Laura was a 9th-century Spanish martyr, a nun who was thrown into a vat of molten lead by the Moors. Another famous bearer was Laura Secord, a Canadian heroine during the War of 1812.

Sherry comes from my parents: Sharon + Jerry = Sherry
But my name means "Beloved". I'd like to 'be loved' someday, so maybe there's some hope for me! heehee

That's sweet. I wish I had a cute story, but I was named Sherry after an ex girlfriend of my dad's because he just really liked the name. I like that meaning. I was always told it meant "darling". I chose my daughter's name - Shaina - because it is Hebrew for "beautiful" and I wanted her to have an original name.

Emma
Origin: Old German
Meaning: Universal, all-embracing

:flower: :goodvibes :)
