What does your company give you for Xmas

Just curious...I work in a hospital and they give us........nothing.
The doctors on staff chip in and give us all a $15 GC to a movie theater.
I know, don't look a gift horse in the mouth. But...22 years invested, and we get a group Xmas card signed by the VP's. Seriously.
What do you get?

I work in a hospital too. We got a Christmas card signed by the CEO. We do not have a Holiday Party. They do however host an open house with appetizers and desserts made by all the management/supervisors. When I started there we each got a $50 gift card to be used in our gift shop. I was able to collect the entire Willow Tree Nativity that way. It went from $50 to$25 to $10 to zero. My DH gets a ham and a raffle ticket to pick a prize from the gift table at the Christmas party. The grand prize is usually a flat screen TV.. all the way down to restaurant GC, massages, etc.

Not to be negative, but I have a job and I am extremely thankful!. I provide a service for my employer and in return they provide me with a paycheck. Anything more will eventually effect the botom line and work down to my pay. My expectactions are to just be assured that I get paid for the work I do!

My dh works for a very large national insurance company. They had a Holiday Party for his department this afternoon. That would be about it.

My sister works in administration for a small (around 70 employees) non-profit Skilled Nursing Facility. The board decided this year to give the employees a nice polo shirt (from Lands End) with the SNF's logo on it and a $10 GC for Target. She mentioned how it seemed a little insulting to hand out a $10 GC.

When I worked for the YMCA they would give us logo wear--a fleece sweatshirt, jacket or a gym bag. One year we got a Christmas ornament. There was usually a little (mandatory) meeting to go over the year, goals for next year, have ice cream or snacks and get our logo wear.

I worked for a small family owned business. I got a cash bonus depending on how business was going. One year it was $50 another year it was $300.

We have a holiday lunch and some type of company logo item, this year it was an umbrella.

I received a 100.00 gift certificate to Nordstrom, a 20.00 GC to Carrabas and we had a party at the bosses house. This weekend our boss is also taking us out to a comedy club for a show and drinks. I love my boss!

I work at one of the FAT CAT WALL ST firms we all hear about on TV.

I get nothing for the Holidays.

My department does have a Holiday Party. The firm kicks in $25/head. And we have to pay for the rest (in NYC, $25 does not get much).

Last week they reduced our Pension by 75%.

Nothing in the way of monetary gift. They do have a Holiday Party - Not Christmas at the beginning of December - I work for a Bank. I missed it this year due to my DD School Choir/Band Concert - rather go to her concert anyday than to spend the night with employees - there are over 300 of us about 100 of those show for these maybe sometimes more - depending on the weather and when they are held. I would rather have the money than what they shell out for the food - even if it is $50.00 a piece. They spoke at one party stating how well we were doing and all the money we were making - but hum - where are our raises?

I'm very thankful that DH and I are both employed - that in and of itself is a gift, I know that sounds cheesy but I know so many others are just wishing for employment right now. DH and I both get the day off with pay and I get an afternoon off with pay to attend a departmental lunch/party (that we as employees pay for). We both work for large corporations.

Nothing. Actually less than nothing. State employee and the state gave me 5 furlough days, so I got -$1250 from my annual salary this year.

THe students all bring in money to be divided up for custodians and us(lunchroom). The school kicks in a bit also. We normally get $50 but this year we got $40 and we were very thankful to even get anything. This has been a tough year with all the job losses and all the furlough days.
My ladies in the kitchen gave me $30.

We are all very thankful to have a job. We really were not expecting anything at all this year and we really would have understood.

I don't receive anything nor does my husband.
But, we are both very glad to be employed also. And we both love our jobs.
The parents are very kind and generous to me.
My actual employer -(the school bd. ) sends us an email wishing us a happy holiday.

I work in a hospital too and we don't even get a card! The different docs and groups usually give us pizza, gift baskets, candy, but that's about it.
