What does the Starwood Gold Card get at the S/D?

I was recently upgraded to Gold and would like to know what others trips there have been like using it. Did you always get upgraded, or did you ask? Thanks!

How did you get upgraded? Did you have a certain number of stays or points?

I think I got upgraded due to a combination of both stays and points. I stayed 12 nights last year for business and I managed to transfer a bunch of points I had earned from Clickrewards before they went under.

I was just upgraded and want to know if anyone has seen any difference in using the different level starwoood cards.

It also says I'm entitled to a 4pm checkout. anyone done it?!
