What does love "feel like" to you?

When I first met DH, I wasn't even sure I LIKED him, much less had interest in dating him plus I was dating someone else at the time.

Our meeting was a weird circumstance anyway since he was at school & just visiting his best friend who happened to be my boss' boyfriend at the time, so we all went out after work for something to eat (this was typical for a group of us to go out after work, so he just tagged along) and let's just say he didn't make the greatest first impression but we exchanged e-mails (it was in the olden days and not many had them).

Fast forward a bit over a year and we were getting married. We will be married 20 years next year. It was over the course of getting to know him not just an instant feeling...on my part anyway,

I think I'm more like you OP. Found a poem in a woman's magazine that I thought described it so well that I had it put on my wedding invitations (22+ years ago!):

Someone asked me
To name the time
That friendship stopped
And love began.

Oh, my darling
That's the secret.
Our friendship
Never stopped!

Today's butterflies are when he does something unexpected or just randomly looks at me very sincerly and says "I love you".

Also, and I guess this isn't a feeling but, he's my best friend and pretty much the only person in the entire universe that I want to spend all my time with. I'd so much rather spend time with DH than I would with a friend or even my mother. To me, that says something about love.
