What does it mean to get tagged?

To get "tagged" is when the "tag fairy" puts a funny little saying under your screen name.

It doesn't happen often and you CANNOT ask for a tag. It just happens.


It's just a fun little thing to cause a little giggle on the Dis boards.

The tag fairy does actu.ally visit all the boards though. It is very random. One day a tag just may appear. Thats what makes it magical.

The Tag Fairies are people who belong to the DIS boards with special powers. They have the power to add the sayings under your name tag. They also can take the tag that you made and turn it into a color tag. You cannot. The Tag Fairies are mysterious people that no one knows who they are so you aren't going to find one by asking to talk to the Tag Fairy.

You have to be careful sometimes what you wish for. I was given a tag and thought I would change and still keep the color. Wrrrooonnggg! I lost the color in my tag. So I asked the tag fairy for "a little color". Next thing I know I have a tag that says (in color) "A Little Color".

I guess I asked for that one. But I do LOOVVEE my new tag. It describes me just right.

No you don't! I never asked to be tagged - or cared if I was. I usually hang out on the DVC Boards (haven't been on the CB for a very long time) and the DVC Boards were where I got caught.

My tag happened (I think) because I was trying to make someone who wanted to be tagged feel better about not being chosen. Apparently the tag fairy has a sense of humor, LOL.

I think it is just like Disney magic & pixie dust - sometimes it just happens. And it's more fun if you aren't expecting it and didn't ask for it. JMHO. YMMV.

Don't seek out the tag fairy, let the tag fairy seek out you. I've never posted on the community board, and never asked to be tagged (not that I minded ). One day I logged on and said "what's that next to my name?" I think they felt sorry for me because I didn't post anything in my sig, and it was so plain looking. I had to search around a bit to find out what it was for.

Of course, the 3 yo I reference in my tag is now 5, but he will still humor me sometimes when I ask him where the plane that's flying overhead is going, even if he doesn't know why I keep asking him that.
