What does everyone think of Disney After Hours

I thought DAH at MK was worth it in September. Probably one of the best WDW experiences I've ever had. Like a previous poster mentioned, I wish we had rested beforehand though. We had gotten to MK at RD that morning and stayed until the end of DAH. We were exhausted after 15.5 hours straight. I'm hoping to do a DAH this year, but this time we'll go to a different park for a couple hours in the morning before coming back to the hotel to rest. Then we'll go to DAH.

IMHO, a DAH event probably has the most 'value' during a short trip (1-2 days) and during a busy holiday season. For a short trip, it can give you extra hours in a park that can be maximized to their fullest ride potential. During a busy season, you also have the increased ride potential but also the glorious relief from the shoulder-to-shoulder crowds/ride lines. There are really no other ticketed events that I am aware of that allow you to experience the relative emptiness of a park other than a DAH.

The unlimited treats and low-crowd photo ops are a nice bonus.

If I was going on a week or more trip, I might consider adding a DAH as a unique experience-- but I think it has less 'value' in terms of maximizing ride potential-- because with even semi-decent planning skills and PH+ strategies, you can accomplish plenty of rides during a typical park day. The empty park feeling would still be something fun to experience.

I absolutely loved DAH at MK when were were there last August. The only ride we waited for was BTMRR because we got there right when SM shut down for a bit so the SM line overflowed to BTMRR. It was our only wait and it was 10 minutes, everything else was a complete walk on. My only complaint is I wish it were 1 hour longer because we were booting it to get on as much as possible. I would've liked a little more time to slow down and enjoy the emptiness and a few more snacks.

We're back again this August and I will book as many DAH as are available (hoping for all 3 during our 11 day trip), that's how good I think it is.

Each DAH park has its own thread with a table that shows if events have sold out. So far none of the events at any of the 3 parks have sold out during the latest block of dates.

We are doing all 3 next week if that tells you anything. We’ve done the mk one two times before. Hs and ak will be new so we’ll see how those go
