What does everyone think about a clothing exchange?

As we lose weight, we all find ourselves with clothes too big for us, that we will NEVER be wearing again! So, how about if we start posting here if we have clothes to give away?

Feel free to post if you have (or need) clothing, and what sizes you have available (or need). Remember - these will just be "transitional" clothes, because we know we will be dropping sizes as we go along, and when we're done with the clothes, we can pass them to the next person!

Just one rule - no selling anything! The only money that should be exchanged is the cost for postage!

I'll start: I have some 18s and 16s that don't fit me anymore - shirts, dresses, & pants. If you're interested, I will be happy to send them to you in a box! You can either Paypal the postage amount to me, send me a check, or I can send them COD. Any way is fine!

And if anyone has any 14s that don't fit anymore, I could use them! PM or email me!

Great idea!!! I'd be thrilled to do this, as I have a limited budget. So, no selling, but we can pay for shipping, right? Because I'm in Canada and it's expensive to mail here!LOL

I'm almost out of my 26's (give me another week or so) so need some 24's and possibly some 22's. Just casual clothing is all I need because it's pretty much all I wear, even for work.

BTW, I am looking for 20's... As soon as I get some size 20 clothes, I will be getting rid of my 22 and 24's!!!

My goodness.. what a great idea.
I have some stuff thats like almost brand new I never got to wear. I will get back on the sizes and discriptions. anyway Ill be looking for size 12's so if anyone wants to get rid of, let me know.

I have three pairs of jean--2 black and 1 a nicely faded olive green. They are all 3 size 18. Can anyone use them?

Great idea Rhonda! I'll have to check my closet over the weekend. I may have some 16's and some 14's to share. I am now into 12's. I'll post a list if I can next week.

I have some BEAUTIFUL size 14 clothes...Liz Clairborne, Talbots, LeSuit, Adrien Papell etc. I even have a few Carlisle blouses, but they've been altered to around size 10.

Rhonda... this is a wonderful idea!!
I had a very expensive suit that I gave to goodwill when I had my "big" weight loss", it couldn't be altered that much.
Let me just state that the usual DIS rules would apply to this.
All transactions are strictly between the parties involved. We won't step in if someone doesn't fulfill their end of the bargain nor will we allow it to be posted. Emails and PM's are fine.
Sorry to have to be strict but we learned the hard way on exchanges!!!

I just posted a thread about clothing I have, some never worn. mostly size 14/16. anyway I was directed back to this thread ..but I read about forum rules so Im not sure if I can even list what I have.
