what does Domo do?

I am justifying whether it's worthwhile to pay $710 for major domo in disney wedding.

I know major domo will carry glass slipper. For those experienced such event, honestly does the glass slipper look very beautiful and elegant or look actually like a cheap product ? (Would be great if you can provide pictures or URL)

I know the domo will make some simple announcements .But what else does he do during ceremony and dinner ?

Here is what my planning packet said about the Major Domo:

"...walk down the aisle and present your wedding rings. He can also make announcements at the end of the ceremony, at your pre-reception, and then announce the two of you and your Bridal Party into the dinner room!"

Sorry, I don't have a picture but I am sure that I just saw one on the Disney weddings website.

To have your rings carried down in a glass slipper, do you have to have the major domo do it? Or can you have your ring bearer do it?

I'm sure your ring bearer could do it if you provided the glass slipper. I have seen them at craft stores for pretty cheap.

We didn’t have Major Domo, but I have seen him on several of the demo videos of Disney weddings. Other than bringing the rings in to the chapel in the glass slipper, I believe he also makes announcements. For instance, I saw him tell everyone to board the “coaches” (busses) to head to the reception, as well as introduce the wedding party at the reception.
