What does Disney do with their buy backs?

There are a number of recent posts that seem to indicate that Disney is making a pretty strong push in terms of buy backs on the resale market.

Does anyone know what they do with these buy backs? i.e., will these go back up for sale by Disney?

yes most will - some they may use for maintence purposes - but most will be sold again.

there are several people (some here) that are on waiting list for the points.

So if you want some - get on a list now.

I think one of the reason is that BCV is just about sold out - they would have nothing to sale on WDW property for their guides - so they can now sell add ons until SS starts selling.

Now will they make these contracts available to new members or just the old ones I certain don't know.

I agree with Spiceycat. We were at BCV in January and two different guides told us that BCV was about 70 percent sold. I think they need inventory so there staff has something to sell.

Yes, our DVC guide Carol Ann told me that she had several members who have been on the waiting list for BWV for several years that are finally getting to add-on points there since Disney is picking up so many buybacks.

So, if anybody's been on the waiting list for a while, then maybe its soon to be your turn!!

I think the other posters may be right. They may just be picking up these re-sales for the purpose of having on-property inventory this summer. I suspect Beach Club gets sold out in early summer at the rate they are going. According to the DVC website Beach Club is the fastest seller they have had to date. They also probably still have inventory at Vero Beach. But, with Saratoga Springs targeted for Spring of 2004, look for them to start selling this property in the fall. At least, that would be my guess. :p
