What Does Disney Consider Rack Rate?

If you are putting a depost down for next year but the rates have not been released yet what does Disney consider Rack Rate. DO they use peak season rates or regular rates? . I know the price will be adjusted once the rates are released but was curious.

Rack rate is just the standard non-discounted rate for the time you are visiting (Value Season, Peak Season, etc.) So there are multiple "rack rates". Does that answer the question, or did you mean more than that?

The rack rates for 2009 have not been released yet, I believe.

If you make a room only reservation for 2009 before the rates are released, they will charge you a one night deposit based on the 2008 peak season rate for your resort. Then once the rates are released, you will be notified of what the real rate is for your stay.

Thank you very much that is what I figtured. I just got off the phone with my TA and yes that is what they charged me for My September 2009 resis. I one step closer. to POR now all the fun begins. As always the Dis comes thru with the answer cause things just keep changing. Now lets hope they ease off on the gas prices.
