What does "concierge" get you?

I am looking at staying at the Poly, and I see that you can get good AP rates on concierge rooms sometimes.

So I was wondering whats the difference between that and a regular room?

Really it comes down to extra service. A concierge is like your personal travel assistant. They have ways of getting resv where you least expect it and are always there to answer any question. The concierge rooms also have access to complimentary breakfast, snacks during the day, cocktail hour and late night snacks all in the concierge building. It is that little extra that makes your stay feel luxuries.

Concierge=service
We stayed concierge at AKL which allowed us to attend the sunrise safari (extra charge) and recieve many perks in the lounge that included drinks, snacks and toys and games for the kids. It is also possible for them to get you last minute PS's for hard to get restaurants or meals(ie. Cindy's breakfast). These are not guarenteed but possible. We were offered that breakfast on our last trip but had already made PS's for the Princess breakfast in Norway.
We were also given cans of pop and or water to take with us when we went to the parks.

But... "enriches" your holiday...

Absolutely agree. We just did Poly concierge as our first time going concierge. Now we would like to do concierge whenever we can.

Less stress. Just having the extra space of the lounge and the TV...playing kids videos...they can relax and have a snack and there is less fighting over channels in the room.

The kids are rarely starving!! Easier to get them to enjoy a sit down meal.

No lines at check in. Changes to PS easier and last minute tickets to Cirque or other events possible.

Faster start on the morning with convenience of the lounge breakfast.

Just a few thoughts

Concierge gives you piece of maind and time! They make all your PS arrangements, set up surprises at your request and are just all around invaluable. I have stayed at both the YC and BC concierge and in March was at the BWI concierge. We will be back to BWI concierge in Octber with my son and his family. I won't stay anywhere else now. The CMs at the lounge and the Itinerary planners are fantastic!

Spoiled for a "lesser" room. Not that regular rooms are bad, it's just that after having that level of service and convenience with the planning desk and all, it will feel like "less".

Like many of the above, we stayed Polynesian Concierge for the first time and got hooked.

There are too many small "extras" to ignore.

Our big thing is dining. When we go to Disney, we love to hit a nice place to eat every night. Frequently, we'll change plans in mid-stride. We set up our dining plans via the itinerary planning desk in advance, but if we have a change of heart or decide on a particular destination, we'll call them and they'll set it up for us, pronto!

The "offerings" at breakfast are really nice. Often, we'll make a meal out of the continental style breakfast offerings. At the Polynesian I'll get some eggs and sausage at Capt.Cooks and the rest we get from the lounge. Very nice. The snacks and water for the parks are convenient. Finally the appetizers and evening offerings will "finish you off" at the end of the day, perhaps while waiting to take in the Lagoon electric parade or fireworks display.

Also, per my experiences at the Polynesian and BWI concierge, the staff is just plain "nice".

Mind you, you won't want to stay in anything but concierge if you do this, so don't plan on it for just one trip, but for every visit from now on.
