What does "closing time" really mean at Blizzard Beach?

We're arriving in Orlando on a Thursday and have never done Blizzard Beach. I figure we can get to BB by 2pm or so. They show a closing time (later this month) of 7:30 pm. My question is: What's the "closing" routine really mean at BB? Do they shut down all rides and "force" everybody out?

Also, I hear some folks say if you arrive late enough (like after 2pm)--even in the packed summer season--it can be a manageable 1/2 day experience? What do you guys think?

My thought is that we can stay at BB until whenever, go back to Poly, get to bed early, and be ready for our first "real" day on Friday morning.

Any help would be appreciated

Hi Jim,

The only caveat about going in the mid/late afternoon in the summer is if a cluster of thunderstorms comes through BB may close and not re-open until the morning.

I'll defer to someone else with more BB knowledge to answer your question though..
