Can someone describe the smell of a dead mouse to me?

The closest I can come is "musty" but very strong. DON'T ask me how I know that. :rolleyes:

like....like.....hmmmm. Well, rotting meat, I guess. Which is what it is, after all! :scared:

You can't mistake the way something dead smells... doesnt matter how big it is.... it stinks so bad it makes you wanna puke! (sorry to be so graphic)

It's a smell you'll NEVER forget.
And when you smell it again in a few years, you'll go "NOT AGAIN"!

:eek: :rolleyes:

kinda like sewage, sewage that's been around for a while. it smells like a bad infection, if you've ever smelled that. if you have an old cat who's never had a dental, go smell its breath. it kinda smells like that, but worse.

Many years ago my basement started smelling gross, like rotten sauerkraut!! We couldn't figure out where the heck the smell was coming from. Finally after a few days DH traced it to the dryer....he took the back of it apart and inside he found a dead mouse!! Apparently it came in through the exhaust vent. He put a screen over it after that and we never got another mouse in the dryer again. I'll never forget when he called me down and showed me the dead mouse, he said "It's Mickey!!" :earseek:

Its an awful stink!!!! My DS's hamster escaped and apparently bit an electrical cord we did not know where she was. I kept walking in the laundry room going what smells-sure enough Lilo was behind the dryer dead and really, really smelly. It was awful!

:earseek: :earseek: :earseek: :earseek: :earseek: :earseek:

Rotting garbage in August combined with raw sewage with a whiff of dead skunk. At least that's what a mouse smells like when it dies under a radiator in the wintertime :crazy2: It's at times like that I'm glad I'm married.

Don't worry, they rot away to nothing in a few days and you won't smell it anymore. The fur and bones just dry up in a little ball (live next to a field, we are experts.)

::yes::

I don't really know, but if you were to ask my 5 yr. old granddaughter, she would say, "Worse than old ham.."

That's how she describes every nasty smell - and I'm still trying to figure out where she was exposed to "old ham"... LOL
