OK - I have been looking for information on this and before I hassel with calling the airlines (which should be fun)..I thought those of you with kids would probably know. What documentation do I need to take for my dd4 to board the airplane? I know my husband and myself need photo ids, so I did not know if I need a copy of birth certificate or what.

Thanks for your help! :thumbsup2

For a child, over the age of 2 with their own seat, you don't need anything. If they were under 2 and flying as a lap child, you should bring the BC to prove they are young enough.

That being said, I ALWAYS tuck a copy of DS's birth certificate in my bag when we fly. I'd rather have it and not need it......

Ditto! Never was asked when DS was under 2 myself, we always fly Southwest.
