Having not yet been to WDW (going next year), just wondering what most people wear to the theme parks. I now that Florida is very informal, but my legs aren't the best (got a bit of a "thing" about them), so am planning to wear linen cropped loose trousers and a t shirt instead of shorts.

Just wondering what other people wear when they hit the parks.

Thanks for your help.

Hi, very rarely wear shorts persoanlly as then your legs stick to the seats on the rides and its like a cheap leg wax when you stand up! like you I usually wear light weight linen or cotton trousers, they dry out easier after kali river rapids as well :)

Everyone has something they don't like about themselves, me included, but I wear what I feel most comfortable in for any given day, depending on what kind of rides we're going on such as water rides. I mostly wear shorts with a strappy top and if going on water rides wear a costume underneath. It really is a relaxed place and no-one looks twice at what you look like. You'll see what I mean when you get out there!

I also never wear shorts (there are some things that should be left to younger women :) )
I wear lightweight cotton capri length trousers (some where between the knee and ankle, in terms of length)...

Despite being short & over weight I will admit to wearing shorts long ones though but cropped Trousers will be great.

What ever you choose the most important is comfy footwear. I go for old-fashioned but very comfortable sandals but lots of people choose trainers. it is of course personal choice DS 's girlfriend spent 2 weeks in flip-flops & managed fine. It's amazing how far you walk.

Thong and nipple rings for me :rotfl2:

...but seriously, people wear almost anything. I've seen everything from suits to swimwear. I usually have t-shirt and shorts unless I know I'm going to get soaked and then its "boxer short" trunks and t-shirt.

Remember, its usually very hot so whatevers most comfortable.

I have worn shorts and capri pants but they too can be rather hot and sweaty so I often wear a little sun dress which keeps my legs and "bottom area" cooler.

I hate shorts, being a larger lady they don't do anything for me anyway so on the 3 trips we have been on I have always worn cropped trousers and a t-shirt or vest type thing, very comfortable and easy to wear. With the exception of last December when it was soooooooooo cold we had to wear jeans and jumpers most days!!

Have a great trip :sunny:

Ohhh I hate my white tree trunk legs, but if its too hot I will succumb to shorts, and blind half of the poor people out there :rotfl2: if not I wear cropped pants, with a vest, and flippies (flipflops)

I also wear floaty skirts at nighttime, much cooler, abit more dressier..topped with a vest or top depending on the heat.. :goodvibes

Just a pair of shorts and t shirt for me, I never thought of wearing cropped trousers they probably would be better for me, pity that I have just been and bought another couple of pair of shorts for September. :)

another vote for cropped trousers and strappy top.....i never wear shorts !!

I dont own a pair of cropped trousers, but Im tempted to get some after reading this. My question is, would trainers look odd with them? These are the only thing I can wear to do the parks (usually wear shorts, T, trainer socks and trainers)...cannot envisage ever finding a sandal that would be comfortable enough for me to wear for stomping around the parks!

i wear jeans and a short sleeved top, i dont like my legs lol

hi allie
trainers will look fine...don't worry :)

Hiya

Another vote for cropped trousers. In addition to having rugby players thighs I dont like sticking to the seats when wearing shorts!

I weat a vest top and flip flops aswell, generally I wear a bikini top under my vest top as it is lightweight compared to a normal bra so easier in the heat and also drys quicker from a water ride.

I wear shorts - frankly I would never wear them at home (or for days out the stuff I wear in Florida! But I won't see anyone I know in Florida) When the temp's at 100 degrees and goodness knows how much humidity, I don't care what I look like! It's all about keeping as cool as possible which (for me) cropped trousers would not be.

I think the best advice is to wear whatever you feel most comfortable in, and not worry at all about looking your best! It really is the kind of place where there seems to be a million people, but you never really notice any of them, you are having so much fun.

Enjoy!
