What do you wear on pirate night

We dressed up the past 6 cruises and are just pirated out for our 7th coming up this weekend.

But it's okay, while some people dress to the nines, others just wear a tee shirt with a pirate on it and others don't do anything at all.

It's how you choose to celebrate it. It's all good!

I have made t-shirts for the four of us. My husband is so excited..... not... I come from a very non dress up kinda lot really! LOL

DS (11 yrs) will be wearing a skull t-shirt w/ dark jeans, pirate hat, hook & clip hoop earrings. DH will do cargo shorts, skull t-shirt, pirate Mickey bandanna, hoop earring & pirate guy-liner (LOL). I am still up in the air. Leaning towards maxi dress with black top & striped skirt (high-low style). Figured strips and hi-low hemline make it "piratey". I might do knee high boots with that (depends on suitcase space) or just black strappy heels that I am wearing with other dinner dresses. Finish it off with big, hoop earrings and a scarf for my head. We'll see . . . .

Dh and I have matching pirate long sleeve tee shirts. Is it okay to wear jeans and tee shirt to dinner that night or should we change after for party. We are on Wonder to Alaska and from what I read they dont have a pirate menu (its tasts of alaska menu) and the wait staff doesnt dress as pirates, but they do have the party that night. So I am confused on what type of attire to wear in the dining room.

We go with whatever pirate(ish) tee we can come up with (to save suitecase space) then do bandanas with mustashes and face paint. If I can come up with something that glows we do that too.

I can't wait to have a pirate night! We'll be the two adults [well, adult-ish] in full-pirate costume!!

Our last cruise was a family reunion and myself DH, and DS (7) actually rented costumes locally to bring aboard! We explained to the costume company that we are going on a cruise, so they adjusted the cost and pick up/return times for us! When we showed up at dinner, our families were amazed! We had formal pictures taken and they are amazing! Not sure how to post a picture from my iPad into this app, but if I can get onto my DH computer, I will post. We had soooo much fun! The picture is a huge conversation piece with house guests!

Our first DCL cruise was last New Year's and I made DH and I matching vests from some pirate print fabric. He wore a white shirt and black pants and I had a rufflely white blouse and a black skirt. We had pirate hats that I got from a Halloween store and lots of beads that were left over from different parades. Very little expense but lots of fun.

I was surprised that not very many people dressed up for pirate night, but it may have been that being there were other dress-up nights (New Year's formal and then semi-formal) maybe people did not want to pack as much.

We are on the Dream Set. 9 and plan on wearing the same thing (if I can find all the stuff!) We never expeced to sail again so soon but got a FL resident rate that was too good to pass up.

We are not " going pirate" lol. I have little girls that will prob wear princess dresses which I assume is always fine. Do adults usually wear cruise casual if not wearing pirate

We dressed in our pirate gear from home...though not too many ppl dressed up...but most did have their Pirate bandanas on.

However, I saw pictures from other DCL cruises that most ppl were in full pirate dress gear. Our next cruise I plan to wear some of my pirate gear, but I'll leave my pirate hat home

They give u bandanas, but I recommend getting hats eye patches and pirate stuff

We have a Disney outlet by my house And they were selling shirts from poc in Disney world so we picked those up for the family

DH & I dressed up as pirates (again) this year for a Halloween party. We bought a couple of new items to replace some old ones...now DH wants to dress up again for Pirate Night on our cruise
He wants to wear his new Pirate coat, I'll wear my new pirate corset & coat.
