We will be at WDW next week. Weather will be mild - highs in the low 70s. How is the humidity this time of year? I was planning jeans and tshirts, DH says no way, he's wearing shorts. That's probably okay for him, but I'm worried about the kids. I'm trying not to pack the whole house. Thanks!

I lived in Florida for almost 20 years - so my advice would be pack jeans for the night and shorts for the day. 70's is mild, but the humidity, even in Feb can be brutal. At night it can get into the low 60's and sometimes 50's. And of course, that means jackets or sweatshirts for nighttime too!

Hi,

I was just wondering the same thing. We will be there feb 27-march 8 and I just started getting some clothes out. Anything about 30 degrees will feel warm to me! I am planning on packing jeans & long sleeve shirts for evening time. Also a spring jacket would be good too. I really don't like to be cold even though I live in MI & should be used to it by now!

Thanks for posting!

So is the humidity in early March comparable to the Sept-Oct humidity?:confused3

Hi Sue! I live in MI too! My DH is so stubborn. When I told him low 70s for the high he said he was taking all shorts. I told him that's why I wasn't packing for him, b/c when he's cold and has no jeans or long sleeves I don't want to hear it! :lmao:

I was there three years ago at that time and I only packed one pair of shorts and regretted it. My sons didn't pack any and they were to the point of heat stroke.

I only had to put a light jacket on at the very end of the day.

One thing about FL since its closer to the equator the sun is closer so even in the "winter" you need a hat.

So 70 in FL feels hotter than 70 in Pittsburgh.

The oddest feeling though was it being 6:30, dark and warm.

Hi Shawn,

I don't pack for my DH either. I figure I have enough to pack (2 DD's 7 & 8) & he can handle it just fine!

We live in Grand Haven on the West side of the state. Ever been here? Many people visit during the prime summer/beach months!

Where are you from?
Sue

I leave tomorrow.. but I am in Louisiana so I know to pack lots of warm weather clothes, but bring jackets for the morning and the night time! A lot of people going this time of yr it seems like. My daughter is off for the Mardi Gras holiday and since we live close to New Orleans- we get FAR AWAY that time of them yr!

My friend was at WDW last week and they wore shorts and short sleeves every day. No jackets or long sleeves even at night.

Florida weather is really tricky. I've lived here in Central Florida for over 50 years & it can switch on a dime. Just watched the 11pm weather and today was rainy, tomorrow it's going to be getting colder and by Saturday they're predicting 37 degrees in the morning .......then warm up a bit........then get cold/rainy again.

If you want to check for the 5 day outlook, check out www.wftv.com (ABC), www.wesh.com (NBC) or www.clickorlando.com (CBS). These are all the local Orlando affiliates.

Have fun on your vacations.........I'd still pack jeans and jackets unless you want to buy Mickey sweats when you're down here.................:goodvibes
