We stopped giving each other gifts for Christmas, Anniversaies, Birthdays, etc a few years ago. Instead we do trips!

So instead of us painfully trying to find that perffect Birthday present (that we don't really need), we go away.

As far as adding points, we are (me) on a temporary lock-down for a year or so. We are already over 600 points and with our other timeshares and trips, not sure we can squeeze in anymore trips.

My parents have been wanting to get away for a few days, so I thought a perfect Christmas gift would be to give them some points to stay at DVC. Only problem was, we'd already used our allotment of the year. Well of course I came up with the perfect solution....more points! We just did a 50 point add on at AKV. Takes care of Christmas for the parents, and it was also our Christmas gift to each other.

My coworker got a beautiful diamond ring for her anniversary / Christmas gift from her DH. I had her show my DH who told me I had sailed on my new diamond ring on DCL in the Med. ha ha.

But we'd rather use our money to DO stuff than to HAVE stuff - so at least we are compatible that way!

Same here. My wife would kill me if I added-on any more this year. But 2008 is right around the corner...

We do the same thing. We have a standing reservation in Feb on the north coast in a cottage overlooking the Pacific ocean to combine our birthday's and anniversary. Much more fun!

I've been trying to come up with a way to add on six ways to Sunday, but each time my bank accounts keep telling me no. Too much X-mas, college expenses, son's up-coming wedding, oh and a holiday DL trip. I guess I'll have to wait.

My husband could not hold it in any more. For my present he added on at AKV We only just bought into DVC in May and our 1st trip was Nov with an add on in Dec. Oh my what are we in for But hey I am not complaining one bit. Just planning our next 3 up coming trips.
