Of course the best protection is parents keeping track of what your kids are doing while on the internet. I would like some software help to make sure my kids are kept safe while on the computer. Nasty sites can pop up where you least expect them. What do you use to protect your kids and how well does it work? :confused3

We have an opt-in policy. Everything is blocked, unless specifically OK'd by us first (only we have the password). DS can only go places we have already approved (Webkinz, PBS Kids, various educational sites, etc).

We also keep the computer in the living room and have a password on it. I have to log in if the kids want to use it and I only do that if I am around to monitor what they are doing.

my kids are not allowed on unless I or DH is with them. At this point, though, theonly thing they go on is Webkinz. I am sure this will change this next year and then I will look into putting something on the computer. I have been recruiting my nieces, who are 16 & computer savvy, to educate me on the ins and outs of what the kids might be exposed to or how to check what they have been into.
