What do you use to pack?

Ok we dont have enough suitcases for our 14 day trek, I have one huge bag but its a bit cumbersome and not sure how to keep everything organized for four people. BUT I was thinking, any ever use rubbermaid type totes? Or the ones with drawers? We wil be at a MOD so I thought that might not be too bad to stick over in the closet area! Just in need of a sounding board what do you think?

I think the rubbermaid would be great. You can stack them and have one for each person.

If you're driving, the rubbermaid would be great. If you're flying, not so great.

I would probably underpack and do laundry several times during the trip.

I was thinking the same thing. You might also try getting some 2 1/2 gallon ziplocs and packing with those. It really saves a lot of room in your bags and keeps things really organized!

We use the rubbermaid bins when we go camping-- even for our clothing and extra shoes. If you're driving it's a great idea. If you're flying then you really will need to invest in extra luggage or extra bags.

agreeing that your "no suitcase" options will only work if you are not flying.

if you are not flying they all sound resonable. I love the idea of the plastic drawer thing. how cool would that be. if you already have them and they wont take up too much space in the car, that would be very neat and organized. (i would hate standing on my head rummaging thru a big bin to get to my clothes. those drawer things would be awesome though.)
