I have a Hoover Floormate, but it's a pain in the butt to drag out and it's really loud. I'm looking for something easy, quick and not messy.

Swiffer steam boost mop. Works great, light, picks up pet hair, easy to use and store.

I alternate between the Shark Steam Mop and the Hoover Floormate. The Floormate is bulky and not quiet but I don't feel like anything gets my floor cleaner than it does. I'll be watching this thread!popcorn::

Whitewing Steam Cleaner. I use it for grout cleaning and several other things too.

I have a shark steam mop. I love it, especially since my older two can take turns mopping using it. I mop daily since otherwise I end up with muddy boot prints from my husband so quick and easy is necessary.

I use white vinegar and water mixed. I also have a steam mop I use but not on the tile (doesn't get in the grout lines), just on the hardwoods.

I have an entire ground floor of travertine tile and was just wondering why it takes so look to make it look good.

Is there an easy way to get the dirt up and off tile?

We have a Shark as well. While it cleans great, we're on our third one because they keep breaking. I was hoping to try a different brand this time but none of the stores around here had any in stock.

Hopefully this one lasts a bit longer.

me too :)

but about every other month it gets the on my hands and knees treatment.

Yes. This is my typical routine. I steam mop everyday with distilled vinegar in the water. Then probably once a month I do a very thorough hands and knees scrub.

I love my Hoover Floormate.

Does the Hoover Floormate do a good job of "scrubbing" the tile? We have a steam mop and I feel like it does an OK job, but I worry it's just pushing around the dirt somewhat. There seems to be areas where the tile is discolored and I think dirt might be accumulating in the "crevices" of the tile.

I am looking for something that will give them a good scrub!

Thanks! :thumbsup2

Wow, you're ambitious! My knees would never survive that.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for yours? My grocery store has it on sale for $10 off the regular price. I think I have a manufacturers coupon for $5 off and I also have store coupons for $5 off when you spend $30. In the end it would come to $29.99 + tax. I'm wondering if that's a good deal.
