What do you use? Laptop or pc?

I've taken it to the extreme. I'm buying my own computer to play VMK whenever I want and noone can stop me. I need your help.... pc or laptop well i've made up my mind laptop. But what do you use?

I'm so glad you asked this. Starwarskid got money for Christmas and b-day and is doing the same thing. (yay, we soon won't have to share!) DisAeryn is in the process of helping him. I'm curious though to see what everyone is using and the price range of the computers.

Laptop! We got one a few years ago and I love it. You can transport it all around, but get a wireless card so u can use it all around your house. Also if u ever go on long trips u can take your laptop with u and watch movies That is what we do. Also laptops are cheaper than a pc, I think.

I have a Dell laptop which I LOVE!! I love being able to transport it into different rooms of the house (and even take it to bed with me if I want!) BUT I can't play the games (fireworks, haunted mansion, etc.) on my laptop for some reason. Have to use the main computer for that (when the boys are not on, that is)

Well I have both. But I like my lap top better. Though this is my first one and I am old and lame. lol. A good quality lap top is very expensive. You might be better to aim at a pc. while, you might buy you own computer so no one can stop you here something to think about. Who pays the internet and the electrcic bill and the heat to keep you warm in your house. (all needed for good VMK play. You may get a computer but in our house if our DS in not doing what he is supposed to he looses the privilege of using it. It may be his but we pay all the others that make it work. Just a word of caution. Also who will fix it when there is a problem. And yes computers crash all the time. Good luck on your endeveour. Unfortunately until you move away from home and are indepentent and self suporting you mom and or Dad really have the last say. But if you are doing well in school and helping around the house as they ask then this should be a good thing to aim for. Also if you are doing this consistenetly they may even give you some towards this as a reward for good grades and good behavior. When our son has tried to do what is right we always try to help him out a way to encourage him. The other side is also true if he is not doing what he needs to do we will also take away priviledges. It really comes down to attitude and willingness. So good luck.

I don't think they will give me any money. But my mom said if my grades are good than I can get a summer job. I have almost 1000.000 right now but saving up $5.00 a week for a year would only give me 260.00 but then when I get a job it will go faster. I am looking at ebay but the computers there are like 200.00 and i don't know if they are broken.

Here's what my parents said:

"You're going to have to pay for Antivirus"
"A router"
"By the time you get enough money you will be in a senior citizen home" That comment did it now i'm out to prove to them that I can save money.

No more candy for a long time. But it's for a good cause.

I am using my parents computer and my dad says that if he gets a new one than we don't use it. I told him i'm buying my own!

Let's see...we have five computers here in the house, three laptops and two of the other computers. The best laptop we have is a "Vaio". It has an extremely clear screen and sharp graphics (not blurred). I am not sure what the other laptops are but I know both of the regular computers are "Dell". The computer I use mainly is the one in room. It has a "Gateway" monitor and "Dell" computer. The "Vaio" is in my sisters room but it has just about everything of mine on it. (It was the one I used all the time). My dad uses the "Dell" Flat screen monitor, and my mom uses another laptop (unsure of the brand).

I have been using laptop only since 1997. We have two in the house so DD and I could both be on at the same time. I have been very pleased with compaq for a very long time and now with hp which is basically the same company. I am also looking into buying a new one to replace my compaq presario. DD laptop is 3 months old and she scores much higher than I do at different vmk games. She still gets DCed as many times as I do.

well for the fastest speed i use my imac, when i am away from home i use my powerbook though i can't play any games( i think it has to do with vmk is not supported by macs). but a pc is a different story, we have a pc laptop and i can play ffirework at a good rate, and most of the time i do better on the pc. But no why in H E double hockey sticks i will part from my apples
