I was looking forward to the Emmys because Ellen is usually so funny. Tonight she is just doing okay.
The skit with Donald Trump in overalls was hysterical though!!

Decided to watch LOTR:TT on TV instead. Better eye candy.

I enjoyed it--some snooze moments...but they also had Katrina on the brain..and had several segments for that.

The Daily Show guy (oy--can't remember his name)--did a "taped" segment...b/c of FCC regulations and all...and it was a very funny.


Does anybody know what is up with Megan Mullalley?--she didn't move much on stage--and when they were doing the award for best supporting actress comedy--she was still back stage and she had crutches.

Whaaa, 4400 didn't win! I am addicted to that show. Loved the Trumpster & Karen singing Greenacres & loved the Blue Man group though.

p.s. hmm, Everybody Loves Raymond won for best comedy... like we didn't see that coming. I liked the show though so not too upset.

What's up with the old TV show songs, shows, and the TV anchors? The theme of the show seems to be to look back at the best in the past but it is certainly taking lots of time to do it.

I missed a lot of the first 45 minutes. Did I miss an explanation?

It was boring and I was sorry I watched it. I did not agree with some of those chosen to win the award but the worst choice IMHO was Patricia Arquette. OMG she is so bad on her show. The whiney nasal quality to her voice drives me crazy. I do not remember who the other choices in her category were but anyone would have been better.

I missed it too - didn't figure it out until later in the show when Ellen made a comment referring to it as "Emmy Idol" & gave out the numbers to vote on your favorite.

Trump & Megan won. It was all pretty corny, but the look on William Shatner's face reacting to his "loss" was pretty funny.
