What do you think???

I guess he met the height requirement. They're doing an autopsy today. My guess is that he had some kind of heart condition.

maybe, but if his family knew he had a heart condition or whatever wouldn't they not want him to ride Misssion Space??

They might not have known about it. People die about unknown conditions a lot.

My dad just told me about it. Apparently, the child went into cardiac arrest while on the ride. I really don't think they should have been allowed to ride! Even if they did meet the height requirements, the mind of a 4 year old is usually not developed enough to understand that the entire ride is fake. The poor child was probably scared to death, literally. The parents needed to make smarter choices and tell the child that they had to wait until they were older.

I agree that 4 -year-old does not belong on that ride. I'm surprised he even met the height requirement (that is, if he did).

the thing about height requirments is that they don't pay too much attention to them, at least when ive been there. most of the time if the kid is "close" they let them ride. anyways, a four year old does not belong on a ride like mission space. i just wonder if the parents will sue or something, or if the close down the ride

He did meet the requirement. Can you imagine if he didn't, Disney would've been in so much trouble.

No! They can't close down Mission:Space! That's one of my favorite rides! :guilty:

The parents should not be allowed to sue either. There are warnings outside of the ride to not ride if you are under height requirement, have heart conditions, pregnant, etc. They also warn that the ride is "realistic and intense", on the HUGE BRIGHT YELLOW sign right outside! The parents should have taken it into their own hands to read the warnings! I personally believe this is the parent's fault. Millions of people have ridden Mission:Space and had almost no problems (besides the throwing up, headaches, and dizziness factors).

That is true. And I agree with those who said a 4-year old shouldn't be on the ride. Nonetheless, it is very sad. :sad1:

There`s one heart condition that goes undiagnosed until it results in death. A girl here died from it while standing in line for 'The Green Extreme'. :sad2:

4 year olds DO NOT BELONG ON THIS RIDE!! what were the parents thinking?? A 4 yr old is way too young, i mean couldn't they just leave someone back and watch him? did they not see the warning signs all over the place?

they should probably put an age limit on that ride too.

they can't shut it down because i love that ride!!!!! it's awsome!!!!

i dont think a height requirement is good. it SHOULD BE an age requirement....i mean COME ON! a 2 year old could be a freakin forest giant and get on that ride!!!! you know what im saying hear people?

i agree with you, but how would the cast members know how old they were. Lots of kids look older and sadly there are TONS of people that would lie to get in. Like i look 15 or older, but i just turned 13. so i think its a great idea, but there are to many lying people in the world.

someone said earlier about no problems but with dizzness and headaces, ect however i think like 8 people were sent to the hospital with cheast pains after riding Mission Space. I do feel very sad for the family though, but you guys are right four is really young to ride but it was the parents choice to let him ride so if anyones to blame i'd say it would be the parents

My guess is since he probably didn't weigh that much the G-forces like seriously hurt him. If that's the case then there should be a weight requirement and they should make you get on a scale before you get on the ride. I've had to do this to ride something before and it doesn't show your weight, but it will light up yellow if you don't weigh enough or red if you weigh too much. And Mission:Space was open this morning so i don't think they are closing it down.

It happened the day after I left Disney but I was still in another part of Florida so it was all over the news. The people at Disney felt confident enough to reopen the ride the next day. I heard that one time during the ride his mother looked over and saw his legs sticking straight out so they think he might have had a seizure.
