I have just had a quote off Travel City Direct......

27th March 2004 - 10th April 2004

Mandy, Becky and Me
Flying on their Jumbo
Car Hire and Platinum Insurance (Mandy and Me Driving)

£1772

Does this seem about right to you?

Have been looking at doing it bit by bit, but we really want to go direct.

Accomodation we will be sorting out seperately, we are looking at big villas, as other members of our family are going.

It doesn't seem too good a deal to me but perhaps I am just a bit tight.

We went with Travel City in 2000 and paid about £1,400 - that wasn't on their jumbo but it did include accommodation!

We have just been with Virgin and paid £1,900 and that included accommodation and £200 (our share) of insurance on a 7 seater van.

I would certainly shop around before booking.

Out of curiosity, I have just priced a flydrive up with Virgin.

Couldn't get the date you wanted so picked the nearest - 20th March for 14 nights, platinum car insurance package (which I am pretty certain includes additional driver) comes out at £1,493.10 and that includes weekend supplements of £45. It doesn't include travel insurance though.

Just checked the car hire with Airline Network.

Airline network use dollar.

thanks all, we can't go any earlier than 26th unfortunately and flights are running out fast! we're awaiting a call back from Bon Voyage as to whether they can actually do those dates, so we'll see.

I agree that the £1700 price quoted seems pretty high to me!

Keeping my fingers crossed for you Mandy:D
