So I am now thinking of just sticking with the quick service dining plan and not upgrading to the normal dining plan for our vacation in march. I still want to eat dinner at Ohana's and dinner at Biergarten. Even with paying for these OOP I will be saving $80 approximately. When we eat out at home, we rarely go to a sit down restaurant. We are always eating on the go so the quick service would be more towards our normal life. I was looking forward to eating in other places but I really don't need to either.

If you don't have plans to eat at table service meals other than the two you have planned then I would stick with the QSDDP. When upgrading you have to take in consideration not only the up grade price but the cost of the tips that are now added. If you and your family eat fast food and not table service when eating out at home, then just stick with what you have. It is not a bad thing to eat only counter service meals at Disney. There is a ton of variety out there so you won't just be eating burgers or chicken.
